16th of January, 2022

It's promotion time again. We recently released our course, Practical Drone Flying: The Basics, on Udemy.com. This course was created for the Confederation of Roofing Contractors annual magazine and our aim was to help any roofing contractors who want to use dones in their business do so in as safe a way as possible.

The course itself is 42 minutes of instructional videos detailing all you'll need to know about flying in the A1 sub-category in the Open Category of the new EASA regulations bought in on 31st December 2020.

As it's an information only course there's no exam, but it does bridge the gap between the basic DMARES learning and a qualification like the A2 Certificate of Competence (A2 CofC).

In it we cover topics like airspace, a brief overview of the regs, what to look for on your aircraft before and after every flight and, most importantly, basic camera operation.

By the end of the course you'll have a better understanding of how to identify suitable flying areas, what different types of airspace there are and how we can our sub 250g drone in them and how & when to contact your local Air Traffic Control units for planned flying activities.

The course retails at £29.99, but we're offering a 50% discount for everyone using code Drone2

We hope you enjoy it and get loads out of it.
